A showroom floor is meant to be spotless, so a damp patch under a car is expensive in more ways than one. The slab hides the supply to the valet bay, the heating circuit that keeps the showroom warm and the drainage from the workshop, and the building often has a large flat roof and a glazed frontage that let water in from above. Moving stock and lifting a polished floor to look for the source is the last thing anyone wants.
We locate the leak from above the floor with thermal imaging, acoustic listening and tracer gas. Vehicles stay where they are, the workshop keeps working and the survey is timed around handovers and events. The report gives your insurer and your facilities contractor exactly what they need.

We survey around vehicles. Thermal imaging and acoustic listening work with cars in place; at most we ask for one bay to be kept clear.

Do we need to move the cars?
Rarely. We work around vehicles. If the leak turns out to be directly beneath one we will ask for that bay to be cleared.
The showroom heating keeps losing pressure. Is that a leak?
Almost always. A sealed heating system that needs topping up is losing water somewhere. Tracer gas and thermal imaging find the point on the circuit, including under the slab.
Can you work while the workshop is open?
Yes. We coordinate with the workshop manager and work a bay at a time. Acoustic work is easier in quieter periods, so we may schedule that part early or late.
Will there be any mess?
No. The equipment is handheld and non-invasive, and we leave the floor as we found it.
