Who we are

This website, retailleakdetection.co.uk, is operated by ADI Leak Solutions Ltd, trading as ADI Leak Detection, company number 15870765, registered office Unit L, BPI House, Cores End Road, Bourne End SL8 5AS. ADI Leak Solutions Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

What we collect

• Phone calls: the details you give us when you call to book or ask a question, and the number you call from.
• Site visits and reports: the details of the premises, the findings and the images in the report we prepare for you.
• Server logs: the IP address, browser type and pages visited, recorded automatically by the hosting provider to keep the site running securely.
• Cookies and analytics: this website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tracking.
• Fonts and reviews: pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, and the home page shows a Trustpilot reviews widget. To display these, your browser connects to Google and Trustpilot, which receive your IP address and browser details. Trustpilot may use cookies or similar technology inside its widget. Google’s and Trustpilot’s own privacy notices apply to what they collect.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and give you a quote.
• To book, carry out and invoice the leak detection service, and to send you the report.
• To keep records we are required to keep for tax, accounting and insurance purposes.
• To keep the website secure and working, and to show our fonts and reviews.

Our lawful bases

Under UK GDPR we rely on contract (to provide the service you have asked for, including the steps before a booking is confirmed), and legitimate interests (running and securing the website, displaying its fonts and reviews, keeping business records, following up an enquiry). Where we rely on legitimate interests we have considered the effect on you and do not think it outweighs your rights.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any booking that follows. Records of work carried out, reports and invoices are kept for as long as we need them for legal, tax and insurance record-keeping, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Server logs are kept for a short period by the hosting provider.

Who we share it with

• Our engineers, who need the site details to attend and carry out the survey.
• Your insurer or loss adjuster, only when you ask us to send them the report or to answer their questions about it.
• IT and service providers who host the website and provide our email and telephone systems, and who act on our instructions.
• Google and Trustpilot, which receive your IP address when your browser loads the fonts and the reviews widget, as described above.
• Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal information.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of information you gave us in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
